05 FEB 2006 Sunday

Weather has taken a downturn. So much for the sunny 40 degree days. It will be a cold experience in the Forward Operating Base (FOB). REMEMBER: Communication from CA will decline during the next 2 weeks. There will not be Internet or phone access during our field training. Thank you for your support and wish us luck.

02 FEB 2006 Thursday

www.250thPSD.com was launched today. It will take about the same time to get this site up to speed as it did for the www.50thPSB.com site. For now we have the framework up and some photos have been posted. Tests showed that I didn't break my nose during yesterday's buddy team live fire event. :-) The "bad guys" (aka targets) paid for that one. Make sure that Army Combat Helmet (ACH) is on tight. Our Battalion newsletter will be posted and sent out tomorrow. The S3 is busy working on the OPORD for our upcoming field excercise. There will be a decrease in the communication between the Soldier and back home because of the restriction on cell phones during the excercise. Soldiers love getting mail and they are encouraged to send mail home. Happy Birthday to SPC Watkins! I just saw him walk by with his cake. He better not eat the whole thing. We have a PT test coming up.

19 JAN 2006 Thursday

The HQ just got out of the field. We successfully completed our "mini-FOB" exercise. Temperatures in the field varied from a sunny 50 degrees to a snowstorm on the last day. Our teammates in the 568th and 558th also did an outstanding job. I know the 250th is eagerly awaiting their turn. A bunch of photos were taken and should be posted soon. Happy 3rd anniversary to SFC Albano and her husband Ralph.

13 JAN 2006 Friday

Welcome to the 250th! The BN is finally together. So much for the mild weather. Yesterday it was a beautiful 60 degrees. Today it is training weather, rain and getting colder. Everyone is still safe and we are coming together as a team.

Our mailing address has changed. The new building number is #306. See FRG FAQ for address.

Send ideas for this site to me at michael.bobinis@us.army.mil
